$5 admission for the weekend at North Street in Old Forge for the weekend. Live Radio broadcasts and interviews all weekend 92.7 FM

FRIDAY - June 4th 2010

Friday, June 4  3-7 pm

Goody bags to everyone at the admission gate in Old Forge. Various treats and incentives for all!

Walt’s BBQ station and Connerty’s Beer Garden at the Pavilion from 3-7 pm

Check out the cool independent rides on map in your packet.  Some of the best rides and scenery are within a 100 mile radius of Old Forge and Inlet, created by local bikers. Choose a short or long cruising ride.  

Get your photo in the 2011 Thunder In Old Forge Calendar!
Take your picture at the designated spot on the loop ride and turn the photo into the sponsoring bar for an advertised special.

Sign up for a guided ride on Saturday morning. 

(Not finalized) A test run with demo bike rides provided by the major manufacturers.  Check back frequently for updates on this fun activity:  where, when and registration or subscribe to get the information by email.

5pm-1am    Our local bars and restaurants are rolling out the welcome mat to bikers with music and food & drink specials.  

Hop On-Hop Off the Party Bus to experience fabulous food and great music at local bars, restaurants and venues from Thendara to Old Forge to Eagle Bay to Inlet.   Pick up and drop off at designated hotels and lodging places.   15 miles of continuous partying with old and new friends, all within the safety of a DD. 

SATURDAY - June 5th 2010

Saturday, June 5  9:30 am-7 pm

Walt’s BBQ station and Connerty’s Beer Garden at the Pavilion from 11:30-7pm

Fulton Chain Gang playing Noon to 4 pm.

BAND TBA  4-7 pm 

Buy an arm's length of tickets for the 50/50 Raffle.   Coors Light Girls will announce the winner at 5 pm at the Pavilion.    (Must be present to win.)

Thunder luncheon cruise on Raquette Lake 11-1 pm. Meet at the Old Forge Information Center and ride the 30 miles to Raquette Lake to board the WW Durant as a group. Or ride independently. See you at the boat about 10:30. Experience spectacular scenery (99 miles of shoreline on this lake with 80% owned by the State of NY and therefore “Forever Wild.”), fascinating history (located in Raquette Lake are the Great Camps of Alfred Vanderbilt, JP Morgan, Collier and Carnegie to name a few) and fabulous food prepared by Culinary Institute of America graduate Chef Jim. Limited to the first 56 reservations. Call 315-354-5532 for reservations and credit card deposit.

Best Bikes contest scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, with entries due by Saturday, 5 pm.  Winners and trophies awarded Sunday at the pavilion after the parade.  Winners,  get your souvenir photo taken with trophy sponsor.  Peoples’ Choice Winner to grace the 2011 Thunder T shirt.

Prefer a guided ride to striking off on your own?  To take place Saturday morning with a lunch stop on the road.   Local biker leaders Bennie & Dick provide  insider information and local perspective.

SUNDAY - June 6th 2010

Sunday, June 6  9:30am-3 pm

Bikers’ Breakfast at the Pavilion.   

Blessing of the Bikes.   Gather at 11 am at the pavilion.

Parade from the Pavilion to Thendara and back.   Motorcycle police escort.

12:30-3:30  Justin and Shawn from Showtime playing for your enjoyment at the pavilion.  Walt’s and Connerty’s serving food and beverage from 11:30-3 pm.

Open invitation to all bikers. Coors Light girls on hand Sun at the pavilion, after the parade,  to crown the Best Bike winners.  Have your photo taken with your trophy, the sponsor and Coors Light Girls!
